Dates are July 15th - 24th, 2013.

The 2013 National Jamboree will be the first to be held at the SBR in southern West Virigina. It will be held July 15-24, 2013. Mountaineer Area Council Price for the 2013 Jamboree will be $1300.

Scouts sign up now at the following site WWW.BSAJAMBOREE.ORG , and then bring your Jamboree paper work and $100 (none refundable) to the Mountaineer Area Council Office and get your name onto the waiting list for the 2013 Jamboree at the THE SUMMIT BECHTEL RESERVE (SBR). The Council is planning on sending two troops of 36 Scouts. Scouts must meet the age requirements noted on the Jamboree site.

Scouters (over 18-20 during 2013 Jamboree) sign up now at the following site WWW.BSAJAMBOREE.ORG , and then bring your Jamboree paper work and $100 (refundable) to the Mountaineer Area Council Office and get your name onto the Leaders waiting list for the 2013 Jamboree at the THE SUMMIT BECHTEL RESERVE (SBR). The Council will send two troops of Scouts with 4 Scouters each. One Leader will be from 18 years to 21 (has not reach 21 years old) and 3 Leaders 21 years and over. All Leaders selected for the Troops are required to attend the Jamboree Committee Meetings to help with details of the trip.

We have almost a troop sign up on 01/31/12 and will start working soon on the next. Don't wait till later to commit. You will miss the 1st National Jamboree at The Summit.

Why pay now?

1) If you wait you will have to pay the same amount in less time.

2) This is an National Event, the Council has to paid fees for each Scout or Scouter at certain times, between now and when we leave for the Jamboree.

3) If you wait and the Troops are full, you will be placed on an waiting list. Waiting list Scouts only goes to the 2013 Jamboree, if one of the Troop Scouts are unable to attend.

4) If you are on the waiting list and you are not selected to attend with the Troop(s) from the Mountaineer Area Council, you money will be refunded after the Troop(s) depart for the National Jamboree.

Note Refund Policy

If you sign up for the jamboree and then find you cannot attend, you will receive a refund only if your council has an alternate to take your place. Your local council has a refund policy and it is explained in the Local Council Jamboree Information Sheet.
