Saturday, February 07 2009, 7:30am - 5:00pm

Dear Scouts and Scouters,

Finally, as promised, here is all of the information for Merit Badge University 2009.  Below you will find the Pre-Requisites for the Merit Badges. Please read them carefully, as there are several merit badges that will not be able to be completed at the Merit Badge University.

Uniform: All scouts MUST wear their complete Field Dress (Class A) Uniform. This is not only for recognition but safety reasons.

Parking: Parking will be in the Mountain Lair parking lot which is located behind of the Mountain Lair and there is an entrance on the left of the Lair.  Parking is free.

Food: Lunch will take place in the Mountain Lair Food Court.  Suggested cash to bring for lunch is $10.00.  Or you may bring a bagged lunch.  Your uniform will also provide you with a discount at the Food Court.

Location of Classes: The classes are located all over campus including the Evansdale Campus and the Health Sciences Center.  Guides provided by the Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity will escort scouts to their respective classes.  The PRT will be free on February 7th, due to the Men’s Basketball game.

Signing In & Out: All scouts will be required to sign in between 7:30am and 8:00am outside the Rhododendron Room, which is located on the 2nd floor of the Mountain Lair. Scouters and parents that are planning to stay for the day are asked to sign in as well.  ALL scouts MUST sign out, at the Rhododendron Room, especially if leaving early for any reason.

Books:  A limited supply of Merit Badge Books will be available for $5 at the registration table.

Blue cards: Blue cards must be filled out properly PRIOR TO coming to MBU, with the Scout’s information, the correct signatures and the merit badge name filled out. Blue cards will be collected at the Sign-In table and given to the merit badge counselor. They will be returned at the closing ceremony.
